Holiday Stress & Parties Add To Your Already Busy Schedule?

This time of year is always thought to be joyous and full of event making memories. Whether invited to extended family’s house for dinner, office parties or just catching up with friends to socialize. There is the added stress of trying to maintain a healthy diet, stay on our exercise schedule and keep up with our basic beauty routine. Sometimes we look at our calendars and wonder how we are going to fit it all in.

Here are some ideas I have found to help a busy person keep it all together during this Holiday Stress Season.

  • Get enough sleep! It is almost impossible to accomplish all your goals if you can barely make it through the day. Sleep deprivation plays havoc with the skin and make all the things on your to do list seem larger than what they are.
  • Try asking friends or family members for support. This could be as simple asking them to pick up that something extra you forgot at the market, while you offer to mail their package when you are at the post office. Two can accomplish twice as much as one, and more efficiently at times.
  • Cut your workout time in half if need be. We tend to think if we don’t do the entire routine there is no need to do it at all. Not so, studies show that even 20 minutes of exercise a day can help relive stress and increase the metabolism.
  • Be sure to remove makeup at night before sleeping. I have found in my practice that the clients who religiously cleanse their skin at night have fewer breakouts and a healthier looking complexion.
  • Take time to focus on what you do have and what you have accomplished. When we come from a place of gratitude there is an inner peace that will carry on throughout the day.

Before you know it 2014 will be here and another Holiday Stress Season will be gone. Remember to take the time to enjoy the people around you, and create the best memories possible.
