SILKY FINGERS, SATINY TOES
A paraffin treatmen is often done on the back or on the entire body, but it can also be adapted into a simpler srvice for the hands or the hands and feet. It's easy to do during the couse of a facial or even before a manicure. Thetreatment rehydrates the skin, releases toxins and temporarily plumps and softens hands that are no longer youthful. It increases the cost of the service (about $7.50 for hands, $9.50 for feet) and adds something special for your clients.
Step 1: Begin paraffin treatment before the facial. Then the paraffin can be removed when the client is ready for her masque.
Step 2: Massage a collagen-based body cream into the hands, working to the wrist.
Step 3: Dip the hand approximately 5 times into a paraffin bath containing melted and heated wax. Then wrap the hands in plastic bag.
Step 4: Now apply a disinfectant solution to the feet.
Step 5: Work in the same collagen cream, to the ankles.
Step 6: Dip the feet into paraffin bath and wrap in plastic.
Step 7: Cover the hands and feet in electric boots and mittens. Or wrap them in towels to secure the plastic and retain the heat and moisture. After 15-20 minutes, remove the boots, mitten and bags and slide off the wax.
